By Code
A work from Code's experimental period,
Inspired by the brutalist propaganda style characteristic of totalitarian regimes, this work has a strong pacifist message.
The command "Spara" (Shoot) imprinted on the work evokes the order given to troops on the battlefield, but the rifle folded back towards the weapon's user symbolizes the true nature of the act.
In fact, this not only criticizes the command given by a superior entity that does not have to take responsibility for its orders, but also criticizes the effect the order has on the person, even, and above all, if successfully completed.
